Open question: how do you feel about being referred to as ‘autistics’?
I mean in the sense of, for example, “The autistics do not agree with this statement” or people calling someone “an autistic” instead of “an autistic person”. Usually I’ve only seen allistics employ…
personally i hate when people say ‘the gays’ and 'the queers’ as much as 'the autistics’ bc it gives the impression we/they are just. objects. we are actually people too.
gay people and queer people and autistic people sounds and feels so much more comfortable in my opinion
